"I Sound My Barbaric Yawp over the Rooftops of the World" w.w (Task 2b)

This video is from "Dead Poets Society" movie. This movie is about teaching and education. In the movie, a literature teacher who is called by his students 'Captain' is a exraordinary man and he has very different methods of insruction. His students find these methods weird initially but in time they love Captain and his lesson. The literature become a lesson students are looking forward to coming. Despite of these the teacher is looked down by the director of the school. In addition to these views, he is convicted by other people of suicide of his one student. They claim that his creed 'Carpe Diem' cause the death.
In this scene, Captain controls students homework. He wanted his students to write an original poem for the following lesson and to read loud in front of the class.Todd, a student of Captain, is unsuccessful in speaking in front of other people. The scene progress in this way and Captain tries to make Todd tell an original poem and his feelings inside of him. I can say the best part of movie and it makes me tell 'waow!'. As an applicant of teacher, I am impressed so much. This scene shows me what can do with a little technic and a little effort.I love so much educational movies like this. I am glad to watch this movie because this kind of movies make me willing about teaching. I wanna be an unusual teacher and learn not just the lesson but also learn about life.I wanna give them some hints about how they can deal with a problem. For my dreams, this film is a source of inpiration. I love so much perspective of the video. I agree with Captain's ideas and style. 'Students are important and there is always beauty in the difference' I think. I sometimes disagree with the conventional techniques because the world is changing and people don't remain the same. New perspectives are necessary for us,educator. This quotation is a perfect instance for my thoughts.

"You push it, stretch it,
It'll never be enough.
You kick at it, beat it,
It'll never cover any of us.
From the moment we enter crying,
to the moment we leave dying...
It will cover your face
as you wail and cry and scream."
                    the instant poem from Todd

  1. Dear Tuğçe ,
I really like the part that you showed us . It is really original and I also affected this scene like you. In terms of general writing style , I think you wrote a well-ordered article . Firstly , you mentioned about film and later you tell us how you feel about this movie and its technic. I really appreciate this writing style. However , I want to say some comments about your writing. In terms of punctuation , you can develop yourself much more :) . For example , in this part
''His students find these methods weird initially but in time they love Captain and his lesson. '' You can use comma in front of ''but'' . In addition , in this part ''Despite of these the teacher is looked down by the director of the school. '' you can use comma after ''these '' to point out dependant clause. Hence , it can be much more better by this way :) .
I want to comment on your tense agreement with other clauses. For example , ''He wanted his students to write an original poem for the following lesson and to read loud in front of the class. '' This clause should be present tense , so it can be competible with former and latter clauses :) . Lastly, I think there is an article deficiency in this part ''I can say the best part of movie '' . You maybe add '' it is '' to this sentence . To sum up , except for some mistakes , I really like your writing style . I think , I will watch this film thanks to your comments about this film . They have caught my attention :) I am looking forward to see your other articles .
